ASBESTOS SAMPLES

• We accept samples from asbestos surveyors to complete their hazardous materials reports.

• We accept samples from contractors and homeowners who need sample results for disposal or for their own personal knowledge.

  Samples that are not collected by a WorkSafeBC Qualified Person (e.g. AHERA certified) will not meet WorkSafeBC or City/Municipal requirements. City Inspectors may not perform an inspection of your jobsite without a full Hazardous Materials Survey report.

bulk samples for asbestos analysis

• All samples must be submitted with a completed Chain of Custody (COC) form.
• Asbestos bulk samples must be submitted in clean, air-tight containers or bags (e.g. double bagged Ziploc bags).
• The sample number on the container/bag must match the sample number indicated on the COC form.
• The COC form can also be filled out in our office.
• Our turnaround times range from same day RUSH service to our regular 5-day turnaround times.
• Asbestos bulk samples are analyzed in accordance with NIOSH 9002 analytical method. Our senior analyst has over 25 years of experience analyzing asbestos bulk samples using standard and advanced techniques.
